Celebrating Dad in the best ways.

This week we celebrated dad. We began our week by doing Mother Goose crafts. The kids put their hand prints and created a fish out of it. This was great because Dad loves to fish. Both Hunter and Em created their masterpieces and then presented it to Dad. He was grateful and we stuck them right on the fridge. We also sang “We love Daddy” and played pin the tie on Dad. Dad was reluctant at first but he joined in on the fun. I didn’t have  to do any extra thinking about what to do, Mother Goose Time had it all planned out for me! We made cookies for dessert as well, compliments of a Mother Goose Time recipe.

Earlier in the week, we read Goldilocks and Three Bears and reenacted it all week long. I think it was the highlight of our week. During our Fathers Day Celebration, Em shared the story with dad. We als shared what we have learned about different types of homes. The kids created their own house boats and we talked about nature and the different weathers patterns that can effect different homes. For examaple, if we lived on a house boat and it rained. We had a lot of discussion about rain and today we enjoyed our first rain here in Arizona in a very long time. It was bittersweet.
