As I take the time to slow down and focus on my family more, I am ever so grateful that I took a day off to go to Em’s field trip to the zoo. I am so glad I did. It was a great time. Em was so cute around her friends. She even took a little nap on the way home on the bus. This was the first time any of the kindergarteners rode a bus so the ride up to the zoo was exciting and exhausting in itself. Em loved the trip. She looked out the window and commented how beautiful everything was the entire way up. She said “I am so high up” as she stood and looked down to the street. The sweet innocence of a five year old is a sweet reminder of the world’s small wonders and beauty. I’m so grateful for this life.
