When reading through the book I noticed features that includes curriculum to use with your homeschooling or children as well as in a Christian school. Again, as a future teacher going to work in a public school I instantly found ways to use the information in the book in my future classroom (modifying the religious aspect of the book).
Another great thing about the book is that it gives you a very detailed run-down of what to do on each day before, during and after the zoo. The Before the Zoo section includes seven devotionals to use the week before your zoo trip to help focus on God, the very Creator of all the animals. The During section of the book has all the animals you would see at the zoo divided into sections. Each section has facts and details all about the animals. The after section has several different activity sheets that you can use to supplement your teaching.
You bet, I will be blogging about our trip. To be Continued....
DISCLAIMER: I received a free copy of this book from New Leaf Press for purposes of review. I wasn’t required to give a positive review, only a fair and honest one. My opinions are my own.
I think it's a good idea to buy more book for you kids and to also spend time reading with them.
ReplyDeleteThese books are educational and great for growing minds. It's funny but someone told me that kids have mooshy brains like sponge, so they catch things and remember it far easier than adults
